Privacy Policy

Account information: When you sign in, we collect information associated with your account, such as your name, email address, and authentication identifiers through our identity provider.

Content you submit: We process video files you upload, video URLs you provide (including from YouTube, TikTok, Twitter/X, and similar platforms), and the transcripts, translations, subtitles, dubbing outputs, and project data generated from that content.

Usage and device information: We collect information about how you use VidTranslate, such as pages viewed, features used, language settings, timestamps, and technical data like browser type, IP address, and device identifiers.

Payment information: Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status and limited customer identifiers from Stripe, but we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

We use collected information to provide and operate VidTranslate, including uploading or fetching videos, transcribing audio, translating content into more than 100 languages, generating subtitles and dubbing, and exporting results.

We also use information to authenticate users, manage free and paid plans, process subscriptions, provide customer support, monitor performance, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve our products.

To deliver translation and related features, we send portions of your content and instructions to third-party AI providers and infrastructure partners, including models such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok, as well as hosting, storage, authentication, and payment providers.

These providers process data on our behalf according to their own terms and security practices. We share only the information reasonably necessary to perform the requested service.

We retain account, project, and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may delete projects or close your account where available in the product. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before deletion.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and understand how the service performs.

We may use analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager or comparable services to collect aggregated usage information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate VidTranslate, with payment processors such as Stripe, with authentication providers, with AI and cloud infrastructure vendors, and when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections.

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Because VidTranslate serves users globally, your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to certain uses.

You can manage subscription billing through the Stripe customer portal on your Billing page. Privacy requests may be sent to sales@vidtranslate.com.

VidTranslate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was most recently revised. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
